Program Pembelajaran Al-Qur’an Bagi Lansia Dengan Menerapkan Metode UMMI Di Masjid Baiturrahman Wonorejo Rungkut Surabaya

Background. Kurangnya pendekatan pembelajaran Al-Qur’an yang ramah dan sesuai dengan kebutuhan lansia sering menjadi kendala dalam meningkatkan kemampuan membaca Al-Qur’an pada kelompok usia lanjut. Banyak lansia merasa kesulitan mengenali huruf, melafalkan ayat dengan benar, dan memahami makna ayat Al-Qur’an karena metode pembelajaran yang digunakan kurang sederhana dan tidak menyesuaikan dengan daya serap mereka. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan metode yang lebih aplikatif, mudah dipahami, serta mampu memberikan motivasi belajar yang berkelanjutan bagi para lansia.
Purpose.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan mengevaluasi program pembelajaran Al-Qur’an dengan menerapkan metode UMMI di Masjid Baiturrahman Wonorejo Rungkut Surabaya. Secara khusus, penelitian ini ingin mengetahui sejauh mana metode UMMI dapat meningkatkan kemampuan membaca, melafalkan, dan memahami Al-Qur’an pada kelompok lansia.
Method. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif, program ini dilaksanakan melalui beberapa tahapan, yakni perencanaan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Proses pembelajaran menggunakan metode UMMI yang menekankan pada talaqqi, tikrar (pengulangan), dan pemahaman bertahap sesuai kemampuan peserta. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui observasi kegiatan, wawancara dengan peserta dan pengajar, serta dokumentasi proses pembelajaran. Analisis dilakukan dengan teknik reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan.
Results. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan metode UMMI mampu membantu lansia dalam mengenali huruf hijaiyah, melafalkan ayat-ayat Al-Qur’an dengan benar, serta meningkatkan motivasi belajar. Lansia merasa lebih percaya diri dalam membaca Al-Qur’an karena metode yang digunakan sederhana, interaktif, dan berulang. Selain itu, terdapat peningkatan pemahaman makna ayat melalui pendekatan yang mudah dipahami dan disertai penjelasan kontekstual.
Conclusion. Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa metode UMMI efektif diterapkan dalam pembelajaran Al-Qur’an bagi lansia. Program ini tidak hanya meningkatkan kemampuan teknis membaca, tetapi juga menumbuhkan kecintaan dan kedekatan emosional dengan Al-Qur’an. Dengan demikian, metode UMMI dapat menjadi salah satu solusi inovatif untuk pengembangan program pembelajaran Al-Qur’an berbasis masjid, khususnya dalam meningkatkan literasi Al-Qur’an di kalangan lansia.
