Parentification occurs after the subject loses their father at age 16, leading them to take on significant caregiving and family responsibilities. The research employs a case study approach with a qualitative method, involving in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and supporting documentation. The findings indicate that the subject plays a significant emotional and instrumental role, including caring for the sibling, assisting with household chores, and contributing financially while continuing their education. This role impacts their personal life, especially in managing time and prioritizing between college, work, and caregiving. Despite the heavy burden, the subject demonstrates maturity, independence, and a high sense of responsibility. The study emphasizes the importance of social support and appropriate interventions to assist children and adolescents experiencing parentification, particularly in families with children with special needs. These findings are expected to serve as a basis for developing family support programs and enhancing psychosocial well-being.
Nurmelisa Anwar, Citrawanti Oktavia Copyright (c) 2025 Nurmelisa Anwar, Citrawanti Oktavia http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0/ https://ejournal.staialhikmahpariangan.ac.id/Journal/index.php/wp/article/view/894 Fri, 13 Jun 2025 00:00:00 +0700 Mindful Parenting Training to Reduce Parenting Stress in Mothers of Children with Severe Non-Verbal Autism https://ejournal.staialhikmahpariangan.ac.id/Journal/index.php/wp/article/view/903
This study was intended to assess the effectiveness of mindful parenting training in reducing the level of parenting stress in mothers who have children with non-verbal Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The research design used was Single Case Experimental Design (SCED) with A-B-A approach, involving three mothers as participants. Intervention in the form of mindful parenting training that integrates increased knowledge of yoga concepts and skills was conducted over several sessions. Data were collected through Parental Stress Scale (PSS) instrument, mindful parenting concept knowledge test, and yoga skill observation. Data were analyzed by descriptive statistics and visual graph analysis. Results showed an increase in scores on aspects of mindful parenting knowledge and skills, accompanied by a decrease in the average parenting stress score from 29.33 to 28.00. Although this decrease was moderate quantitatively, the general pattern showed that two out of three participants experienced a consistent decrease in stress. These findings indicate that mindful parenting training has the potential to improve mothers' cognitive capacity and emotion regulation, and is functionally relevant in supporting the parenting of non-verbal ASD children
Indah Nur Latifa, Ries Sansani, Citrawanti Oktavia Copyright (c) 2025 Indah Nur Latifa, Ries Sansani, Citrawanti Oktavia http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0/ https://ejournal.staialhikmahpariangan.ac.id/Journal/index.php/wp/article/view/903 Wed, 04 Jun 2025 00:00:00 +0700 Sustainable Community Assistance Model as an Effort to Improve the Welfare of the Mangliawan Community https://ejournal.staialhikmahpariangan.ac.id/Journal/index.php/wp/article/view/912
The issue of community welfare remains a persistent challenge in many developing regions, including the village of Mangliawan. The research was conducted at London School Beyond Academy (LSBA), a vocational institution in Indonesia that focuses on the development of neurodivergent adolescents. Employing an explanatory sequential mixed method design, the study began with a quantitative survey using the Emotional Demands subscale from the Copenhagen Psychosocial Questionnaire (COPSOQ II), followed by semi-structured interviews with key personnel to explore their lived experiences and perceptions of institutional support. The quantitative results (N=40) revealed a moderate level of emotional demands (M = 14.42/20), indicating that emotional challenges were perceived as meaningful rather than overwhelming. Qualitative findings from thematic analysis further underscored this by revealing that emotional demands were often framed as professional calling and relational depth, although formal support systems remained underdeveloped. This study contributes to the literature on emotional labor in inclusive education by focusing specifically on neurodiverse vocational contexts, an area that remains underexplored in Indonesian educational research. The findings suggest that institutional strategies for psychological sustainability are essential not only for employee well-being but also for ensuring the long-term effectiveness of inclusive education models.
Geofakta Razali, Sofia Tri Putri Copyright (c) 2025 Geofakta Razali, Sofia Tri Putri http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0/ https://ejournal.staialhikmahpariangan.ac.id/Journal/index.php/wp/article/view/887 Tue, 15 Jul 2025 00:00:00 +0700 Innovative Work Behavior of Vocational High School Teachers: the Role of Perceived Organizational Support and Knowledge Sharing https://ejournal.staialhikmahpariangan.ac.id/Journal/index.php/wp/article/view/961
Innovative work behavior in teachers is a determining factor in achieving competitive advantage and organizational success, especially in school organizations. However, the majority of teachers still tend to be reluctant to innovate in their work, which impacts the quality of vocational high school graduates, which is still relatively low. Generation Z has a relatively wasteful financial situation that impacts other financial problems, especially as they work in Yogyakarta—one of the poorest cities in Indonesia with the second highest expenditure in Java. This raises concern over their psychological and financial well-being. The urgency of this study lies in the need to understand how internal psychological resources such as gratitude, rooted in cultural values like nrimo ing pandum (Javanese acceptance), can help Generation Z navigate economic pressures and lifestyle demands. Amidst modernization and consumerism, traditional values are at risk of being eroded, making it essential to explore how such values are interpreted and lived today. This study aims to explore the picture of gratitude of Generation Z who work in Yogyakarta in the context of Javanese culture nrimo ing pandum. This study combines phenomenological methodology with a qualitative approach. In-depth interviews and observations were conducted with five Generation Z employees working in Yogyakarta. Thematic analysis is the analysis method used in this study. The results found that Generation Z workers have demonstrated patience and gratitude, but a lack of nrimo (acceptance), due to a reckless attitude shaped by the pursuit of prestige and FOMO-driven consumptive behavior.
Meilya Anggara S Sitepu, Siti Rohmah Nurhayati Copyright (c) 2025 Meilya Anggara S Sitepu, Siti Rohmah Nurhayati http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0/ https://ejournal.staialhikmahpariangan.ac.id/Journal/index.php/wp/article/view/929 Tue, 22 Jul 2025 00:00:00 +0700 The Role of Work Passion and Work Engagement in Improving Teacher Well-Being in High School https://ejournal.staialhikmahpariangan.ac.id/Journal/index.php/wp/article/view/916
Teacher well-being has become the focus of contemporary educational research in response to the increasing phenomenon of work stress, burnout, and psychological pressure on educators. Previous studies have indicated that teachers are significantly more susceptible to emotional exhaustion and decreased job satisfaction than other professions, which have implications for the quality of learning and student academic achievement. This study aims to analyze the effect of work passion and work engagement on teacher well-being in high school teachers in Pringsewu Regency. This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey method on 255 ASN teachers from seven state high schools in Pringsewu Regency, Lampung. Data collection was conducted from February to March 2025 using three instruments: The Work Passion Scale, Work Engagement Scale, and Teacher Well-Being Scale. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling. Data analysis uses multiple linear regression to test the effect of independent variables on the dependent variable. The results of the study indicate that work passion and work engagement simultaneously have a significant effect on teacher well-being. Based on these findings, it is recommended that educational institutions develop programs that promote harmonious passion and work engagement, as well as facilitate a work environment that supports a healthy work-life balance to improve teacher well-being.

Muhammad Ghifari Nugroho, Farida Harahap Copyright (c) 2025 Muhammad Ghifari Nugroho, Farida Harahap http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0/ https://ejournal.staialhikmahpariangan.ac.id/Journal/index.php/wp/article/view/916 Tue, 22 Jul 2025 00:00:00 +0700 The Influence of Self-Control on The Intensity of Tiktok Usage Among Students of Muhammadiyah University Gresik https://ejournal.staialhikmahpariangan.ac.id/Journal/index.php/wp/article/view/958
This study aims to examine the influence of self-control on the intensity of TikTok usage among students at Muhammadiyah University of Gresik. The phenomenon of increasing daily TikTok consumption among students has raised concerns regarding its potential impact on academic performance and social behavior. Using a quantitative approach with a correlational research design, data were collected from a sample of 120 students through validated self-control and TikTok usage intensity scales. The results of the statistical analysis using simple linear regression showed a significant negative correlation between self-control and TikTok usage intensity (p < 0.05), indicating that students with higher levels of self-control tend to spend less time on TikTok. These findings suggest that self-control plays a crucial role in regulating students' digital behavior, especially in managing social media usage. The study recommends that educational institutions implement self-regulation training and digital literacy programs to foster healthier media consumption habits among students.

Fitria Ningrum, Awang Setiawan Wicaksono Copyright (c) 2025 Fitria Ningrum, Awang Setiawan Wicaksono http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0/ https://ejournal.staialhikmahpariangan.ac.id/Journal/index.php/wp/article/view/958 Sun, 27 Jul 2025 00:00:00 +0700 The Influence of Mental Health on Quarter Life Crisis in the Emerging Adulthood Phase https://ejournal.staialhikmahpariangan.ac.id/Journal/index.php/wp/article/view/972
The transition from adolescence to early adulthood is a critical developmental phase that involves identity exploration, independence, and the pursuit of life goals. During this stage, individuals are often confronted with academic demands, social expectations, and uncertainty about the future, which can trigger emotional distress. This study examines the influence of mental health on the occurrence of quarter-life crisis among individuals in the emerging adulthood phase (18–29 years old). Using a quantitative descriptive approach, the research focuses on the relationship between mental well-being and symptoms such as future anxiety, self-doubt, and dissatisfaction with life. The findings indicate that mental health has a significant impact on an individual’s ability to cope with challenges and adapt to life transitions. Those with stable mental health show greater resilience, better decision-making, and lower vulnerability to quarter-life crisis, whereas those with poor mental health are more prone to confusion, overthinking, and pessimism about personal and professional goals. The results highlight the importance of mental health education, preventive interventions, and counseling services to help young adults manage emotional stress and navigate transitions effectively.

Vania Azariya Nasya, Prianggi Amelasasih Copyright (c) 2025 Vania Azariya Nasya, Prianggi Amelasasih https://ejournal.staialhikmahpariangan.ac.id/Journal/index.php/index https://ejournal.staialhikmahpariangan.ac.id/Journal/index.php/wp/article/view/972 Tue, 12 Aug 2025 00:00:00 +0700 Unveiling the Meaning and Factors of Marriage Happiness: A Phenomenological Study of Toba Batak Couples https://ejournal.staialhikmahpariangan.ac.id/Journal/index.php/wp/article/view/979
Marital happiness can be influenced by culture because there are cultural values that play a role in encouraging individual happiness. These extra-role behaviors are commonly referred to as Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB), which play a significant role in supporting organizational success. One factor that can influence OCB is Perceived Organizational Support (POS), or the extent to which employees feel that their organization values their contributions and cares about their well-being. This study aimed to examine POS as a predictor of OCB among employees in a fabrication company in Banjarmasin, both overall and across each OCB dimension. The study involved 144 employees selected through simple random sampling. Data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling with Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). The results showed that POS significantly predicts OCB, both in general and within each dimension. These findings highlight the importance of enhancing POS to foster OCB among employees. Companies are encouraged to appreciate employee efforts, recognize contributions, and attend to employee welfare. Strengthening POS can create a supportive work environment that motivates employees to go beyond their formal job roles, ultimately contributing to improved organizational effectiveness and performance.
Vellynda Aisyah Rahmatillah, Rosita Endang Kusmaryani Copyright (c) 2025 Vellynda Aisyah Rahmatillah, Rosita Endang Kusmaryani https://ejournal.staialhikmahpariangan.ac.id/Journal/index.php/index https://ejournal.staialhikmahpariangan.ac.id/Journal/index.php/wp/article/view/986 Fri, 29 Aug 2025 00:00:00 +0700 Work Meaningfulness as A Predictor Of Organizational Affective Commitment Among Nurses at Hospital A Bandar Lampung https://ejournal.staialhikmahpariangan.ac.id/Journal/index.php/wp/article/view/971
Affective commitment is an integral part of nurses' performance in terms of service quality in hospitals. This study aims to systematically synthesize various studies on well-being in Muslim populations to formulate antecedent factors that influence Muslim well-being. Using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach, 59 scientific articles published between 2006 and 2023 were analyzed using an inductive content analysis method. The results of the synthesis indicate that seven main factors influence well-being in Muslim societies: (1) orientation to the afterlife, (2) harmony of cultural and religious values, (3) theological perspective, (4) ritual worship practices, (5) gratitude, (6) religiosity and spirituality, and (7) hope. These seven factors form a conceptual framework that is sensitive to the Islamic cultural and religious context. This study makes a novel contribution by offering a multidimensional model of well-being integrated with faith values. The theoretical and practical implications of this study include the need to create mental health interventions and well-being measurement tools that are appropriate to the context of Muslim communities. The results also emphasize the importance of educating mental health professionals to be more sensitive to religious and cultural differences.
Aditya Aryo Nur Kusumo, Fadhilah Suralaga, Rena Latifa Copyright (c) 2025 Aditya Aryo Nur Kusumo, Fadhilah Suralaga, Rena Latifa https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://ejournal.staialhikmahpariangan.ac.id/Journal/index.php/wp/article/view/957 Fri, 29 Aug 2025 00:00:00 +0700 Adaptation of the Growth Mindset Scale into Indonesian Language and Culture https://ejournal.staialhikmahpariangan.ac.id/Journal/index.php/wp/article/view/962
This study aims to adapt a growth mindset measurement tool into Indonesian language and culture and test its validity and reliability. This study employs a qualitative descriptive approach using literature review to examine the causes, forms of deviation, and societal responses to LGBT-related behaviours in school settings. The findings indicate that such deviations are influenced by various factors, including psychological imbalance, peer influence, weak parental supervision, and the widespread availability of digital content that normalises non-binary gender expression. The issue is further exacerbated by the lack of preventive education in schools, with 43.5% of institutions reportedly having no dedicated programmes to address LGBT awareness. Therefore, a collaborative effort involving schools, families, and the wider community is essential to instil value-based awareness, promote character education, and strengthen digital literacy as a means of early prevention of sexual behaviour deviation.
Juniawan Mandala Putra, Erlina Puspitaloka M, Zairil Zairil Copyright (c) 2025 Juniawan mandala Putra, Erlina Puspitaloka M, Zairil Zairil https://ejournal.staialhikmahpariangan.ac.id/Journal/index.php/index https://ejournal.staialhikmahpariangan.ac.id/Journal/index.php/wp/article/view/904 Sun, 31 Aug 2025 00:00:00 +0700 Emotional and Spiritual Intelligence of Children in Coastal Areas https://ejournal.staialhikmahpariangan.ac.id/Journal/index.php/wp/article/view/913
This study aims to determine the emotional and spiritual intelligence of children who live side by side with prostitutes. The background of this research is driven by the increasing number of single-parent families in Indonesia, raising concerns about the potential impact on the social development of the involved children. The aim of this study is to analyze the influence of single-parent parenting on children's social development, evaluate the relationship between such parenting and children's social well-being, and develop intervention programs aimed at enhancing the social welfare of children from single-parent families. The research methodology employed includes a literature review, quantitative surveys, in-depth interviews, and observational monitoring. The study also draws on various concepts and theories, such as the Parental Involvement Theory, Social Support Theory, and Resilience Theory, to understand how these factors influence children's social development within the context of single-parenting. The findings indicate that while single-parenting presents unique challenges to children's social development, targeted intervention programs can significantly improve their social outcomes. Further analysis underscores the importance of a comprehensive support system to promote the social well-being of children in single-parent families and the implications for policy formulation and program development. For orphaned students, such as those at Pondok Mahadul Yatama, this setting presents compounded challenges, requiring them to navigate the loss of parental support while adapting to a highly structured and disciplined lifestyle. This context creates significant emotional, social, and psychological pressures that necessitate a high degree of resilience. This study aims to provide an in-depth description and understanding of the lived experiences of resilience among orphaned male santri as they adapt to life at the Mahadul Yatama Pesantren. A qualitative research design with a phenomenological approach was employed. The subjects were male santri aged 12-18 who had resided at the pesantren for 2-6 months. Data were collected through in-depth, semi-structured interviews and non-participant observation. The collected data were then analyzed using a thematic analysis approach to identify recurring patterns and themes. The findings indicate that resilience among the santri is a dynamic process. Key themes emerged, including the development of personal competence through overcoming initial adaptation difficulties, a positive acceptance of change driven by peer support, and the crucial role of spiritual influences. Prayer and faith were consistently identified as primary coping mechanisms for managing feelings of homesickness and stress, serving as a significant source of inner strength.

Eka Ladya Charyl Febriantie, Prianggi Amelasasih Copyright (c) 2025 Eka Ladya Chary Febriantier, Prianggi Amelasasih https://ejournal.staialhikmahpariangan.ac.id/Journal/index.php/index https://ejournal.staialhikmahpariangan.ac.id/Journal/index.php/wp/article/view/994 Fri, 12 Sep 2025 00:00:00 +0700 The Influence of Social Media Addiction on Academic Engagement with Self-Esteem Mediation in Students https://ejournal.staialhikmahpariangan.ac.id/Journal/index.php/wp/article/view/993
Amid concerns over declining academic performance, as indicated by metrics like PISA scores, student academic engagement has become a critical issue. A quantitative research design using a survey method was employed. The sample consisted of 146 high school students selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using three validated instruments: the Utrecht Work Engagement Scale-Student Survey (UWES-SS) for academic engagement, a scale adapted from the Young Internet Addiction Test for social media addiction, and the Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale. Data were analyzed using multiple regression analysis. The findings revealed a significant negative influence of social media addiction on academic engagement (p < 0.05). Conversely, self-esteem was found to have a significant positive influence on academic engagement (p < 0.05). The simultaneous analysis confirmed that social media addiction and self-esteem together have a significant effect on students’ academic engagement.

Adinda Rasita Dewi, Asri Rejeki Copyright (c) 2025 Adinda Rasita Dewi, Asri Rejeki https://ejournal.staialhikmahpariangan.ac.id/Journal/index.php/index https://ejournal.staialhikmahpariangan.ac.id/Journal/index.php/wp/article/view/993 Fri, 12 Sep 2025 00:00:00 +0700 Effectiveness of Group Guidance Services with Rational Emotive Imagery (REI) Techniques to Reduce the Identity Crisis of Students at MTS Islamiyah Londut https://ejournal.staialhikmahpariangan.ac.id/Journal/index.php/wp/article/view/990
This study aims to reduce the identity crisis experienced by students at MTs Islamiyah Londut. Using a quantitative research method, where in this study used a sample of class VII with a population of 30 people, this study involved two groups, namely the Experimental group totaling 15 people and the control group totaling 15 people. The Experimental group was given treatment guidance, group guidance, with (REI). This is evident from the results of the initial pretest of the experimental group which showed a score of 62 and increased to 67.3 after participating in group guidance using the Rational Emotive Imagery (REI) technique. Because most of the instruments used in the survey were negative, which means a higher score means a reduced identity crisis. It can be concluded that group guidance services using the Rational Emotive Imagery (REI) technique at MTs Islamiyah Londut can reduce student identity crises.
Firda Aulia Mawaddah, Ahmad Syarqawi Copyright (c) 2025 Firda Aulia Mawaddah, Ahmad Syarqawi https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://ejournal.staialhikmahpariangan.ac.id/Journal/index.php/wp/article/view/990 Mon, 29 Sep 2025 00:00:00 +0700
