This study investigates whether harmonious and obsessive work passion contribute equally to voice behavior among Generation Z employees. While previous studies have explored the effects of work passion on individual performance, limited research has examined how different types of passion simultaneously influence promotive and prohibitive voice behaviors. Using a cross-sectional survey design, data were collected from 400 Gen Z employees working across various sectors in Indonesia using Passion and Voice Behavior Scales. Multiple regression analyses were conducted to assess the simultaneous impact of both passion types on each form of voice. Results revealed that harmonious passion significantly predicted both promotive and prohibitive voice behaviors, whereas obsessive passion only marginally predicted prohibitive voice and became nonsignificant when promotive voice was analyzed alongside harmonious passion. These findings indicate that not all passions lead equally to voice. This study contributes to the growing literature on youth workforce behavior by highlighting the differential impact of internal motivational profiles on voice behavior. Theoretically, it supports the dualistic model of passion and expands its application within organizational behavior, particularly in the context of Gen Z. Practically, the findings underscore the importance of fostering harmonious passion through autonomy-supportive environments to promote meaningful voice among young employees
