Education plays a vital role in shaping the quality of a nation's human resources, but Indonesian students' reading and science literacy achievements based on the 2022 PISA results are still far below the average of OECD countries. This study aims to examine the effect of the use of Project Based Learning and learning motivation, both partially and simultaneously, on the learning outcomes of Islamic Religious Education students at SDN Cempaka Baru 01 Central Jakarta. The method used is a survey with a correlational approach through multiple linear regression analysis techniques, with a population of 348 students in grades IV, V, and VI, and a sample of 186 students determined using the Slovin formula and selected through simple random sampling techniques, using a Likert-scale questionnaire instrument for the variables of the use of PJBL and learning motivation and midterm exam scores for the PAI learning outcome variable. The results show that the use of PJBL and learning motivation each have a positive and significant effect on PAI learning outcomes, with the simultaneous influence of both variables amounting to 31%, while learning motivation shows a relatively larger individual contribution compared to the use of PJBL. This study concludes that improving the quality of Islamic Religious Education learning requires strengthening project-based learning methods combined with strategies for growing learning motivation simultaneously and sustainably.
